Buggy-friendly walks Galway – Salthill (Blackrock)

Blackrock Salthill 2

Location: The Blackrock walk is a continuation of the promenade starting at the diving tower, taking you west towards Salthill Caravan and Camping Park.

Parking: Along the prom or on Threadneedle Road

Path: Tarmac, linear, multi-access

Facilities: None

Features: Views across Galway Bay and the Burren, Diving Tower (usually lots of activity going on here)

This is the ideal path as it is so accessible for all small wheels and relatively flat. Sandwiched between the golf course and the sea there’s a real sense of space and calm along this stretch. Plenty of stones along the side for any  mini Macapacas out there – mine had a field day.
